New York Dog
For this hot dog stand-inspired frank or sausage, saute two sliced, large sweet onions in olive oil until they are translucent. Then add in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, ¼ teaspoon of cayenne and a pinch of ground cinnamon. Add water as needed to keep the mix from burning, and then serve it on top of your grilled frank in a warm bun.
For a dog with altitude and attitude, top your frank or sausage, in bun, with green chile sauce, sour cream, chopped red onion and jalapeno! Careful, this dog has a mean bite.
For a West Coast take on your frank, top it with fresh guacamole, queso fresco, jalapenos for an extra kick, a little cilantro, and a squeeze of lime!
On our frank or sausage inspired by the Northwest, we smear it with cream cheese and then top it with caramelized onions and jalapenos for a creamy yet spicy kick!
Bacon, pinto beans and grilled onions top this frank or sausage with and a burst of condiments: chopped fresh onions, chopped fresh tomatoes, jalapeño sauce, mayonnaise, mustard. Add a grilled yellow chile on the side for an extra Southwest touch.
This Southern frank or sausage is smothered in chili, then topped with chopped onions and piled high with cole slaw.
